Services

Servicing, battery work and safe disposal, under one roof.

Six services covering the whole life of a light electric vehicle — from a first-year tune-up to the responsible end of a lithium pack.

Workshop

What we take on.

Commuter and cargo e-bikes, e-scooters, and loose battery packs brought in on their own. If you are unsure whether a machine is something we handle, describe it in an email and we will tell you.

E-bike and e-scooter servicing

Full mechanical servicing — brakes, drivetrain, wheels, bearings, headset and tyres — carried out with the electrical system checked at the same time. Torque-sensitive assemblies on mid-drive bikes are reassembled to specification rather than by feel.

Battery health diagnostics

A controlled discharge and recharge on the bench to measure usable capacity against the pack's rating, alongside cell-group voltages, internal resistance indications, BMS behaviour and connector condition. You receive a written report whether or not you go ahead with repairs.

Pack repair and rebuilds

Replacing failed cell groups with matched cells, repairing or replacing the battery management system, renewing nickel strip, balance leads and connectors, then reassembling, insulating and re-testing the pack before it goes back on a bike.

  • Rebuild

Motor, controller and wiring

Hub and mid-drive motor diagnosis, bearing and hall-sensor replacement, controller and display faults, throttle and brake cut-off sensors, and tracing the intermittent connection that only drops out over a bump.

Second-life pack rebuilds

Cells that no longer deliver the current a rider needs are often still healthy enough for slow, stationary duty. We recover the sound cell groups from a retired pack and rebuild them into a low-drain unit rather than sending the whole thing away.

Battery collection and recycling

End-of-life and damaged packs taken in, safely discharged, isolated and packed to the dangerous-goods rules, then passed to a battery recycler for material recovery. Swollen or heat-damaged packs are stored separately from the workshop floor.

  • Disposal

Fleet work

Assessments for delivery and hire operators.

When a fleet runs on batteries bought at different times, the failures arrive one at a time and always mid-shift. A scheduled assessment tests each pack in rotation and ranks them by measured condition, so replacements are budgeted rather than improvised.

The same report tells you which machines need mechanical attention, so a bike is off the road once instead of twice.

  • Pack-by-pack capacity testing across the fleet
  • Condition ranking so you know what to retire first
  • Combined mechanical and electrical service in one booking
  • Collection of retired packs at the same visit

Before you book

What helps us quote accurately.

A short email with these details usually saves a round trip, and lets us tell you whether the job needs a full diagnostic or a quick look.

  • Make and model of the bike or scooter, and the motor or battery brand if you know it
  • What the fault looks like from the saddle — no power, cutting out, short range, no charge
  • When it started, and whether anything changed at the same time
  • Roughly how old the battery is and how it is normally charged and stored
  • Whether the pack has ever been dropped, soaked, opened or swollen
